Bon Appétit

So our baby, our little boy, has graduated from his primary food source, breast milk, well not totally graduated, but lets just say we've added more options.

Rice cereal is now part of his diet.

The white, grainy stuff that looks like mushy slop they feed the contestants on Big Brother is now something we are giving our son to ingest to make him "big strong boy!" LOL!

Laura, my wife, will next try bananas and I feel I may barf while trying this because I detest bananas.

Here are a couple of pictures from our endeavors.

Bon appetit!

How fun! I couldnt wait until I got to feed my kids "big boy" food. They loved it and it was hilarious to see thier reaction from each food. If I have one suggestion, it is to have the camera or video ready for every meal. You never know what you are going to get!

I got a pure exorcist vomit on video. Sad and histerical at the same time. He had a horrible gag reflex!!!!

SOOO exciting! I can't believe he is getting so big! And, hey, don't knock bananas! LOL! They do say that breastfed babies tend to love bananas as their first food because it tastes the closest to breastmilk! That was also caleb's first fruit. He started with carrots, though! (well, other than rice cereal!)

Big step! One note of caution though - Formula STAINS! It stains your bedding; it stains the furniture; it even stains the ceiling (I know, cuz um...a coupla times when I squozed the bottle to see if it was leaking, the formula shot out of the airhole and rocketed into the air).
Have fun with nanners!

we never could get our little one to eat the rice cereal. she loved the baby single grain oatmeal though. to me they both tasted kind of gross! very bland! have a great weekend! :)

Be forewarned about the staining. You will soon understand the stains on used baby clothes. I think bananas have been a favorite for a long time. He is so cute eating those first bites! Mom

Did that with Lukas and the rice plugged him up nicely. Had to feed him prunes for a few days, until the eventual explosion. Keep an eye on the output.
